Logging into D2L to access Fall classes? Here’s how

Fall 2020 semester classes begin August 17th.  Logging into D2L for online classes is easy by following these simple steps:

STUDENTS ARE ASKED NOT TO LOG IN UNTIL AUGUST 17TH

  • Log into MyNortheast.
  • Click on the D2L link in the center of the screen.
  • Enter the same username as your MyNortheast account and your 6-digit date of birth in the MMDDYY format (unless you have previously reset your password).
  • Click on one of the picture icons with the corresponding class number underneath it or click on the tile icon located on the top right side of the page.

(Courses will be available for viewing depending on the date the instructor has selected it to open.)

For students who need help navigating D2L, the Brightspace Quick Reference provides guidelines to navigate D2L for online leaning. The reference page include several how-to videos. Access this Brightspace reference page here:  http://media.northeaststate.edu/d2l/

Online mentoring help is also available by filling out an online mentoring application. A student mentor will get in touch to provide assistance with using D2L and other tools of online learning. This is a little disingenuous. I can see my classes in D2L but they are greyed out, I cannot access them. It is my understanding the default setting for making them active is this coming Sunday/Monday. As a result, I have no idea when or how to access my classes that were moved to online.

Classes have always been listed in grey until the day class is to start. If you have your schedule your classes will open on the 17th. It will work out, you’ll see. One step at a time.
