WFS, UTCIS offer Internal Auditor Training course March 10-12

What’s under the hood? This is a broad, critical question in the automotive industry. It is also an important question for any company or organization’s operations.

Northeast State’s Office of Workforce Solutions in collaboration with the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Studies / Institute for Public Service offers an Internal Auditor Training course scheduled March 10-12. All class sessions will meet at the Technical Education Complex building, Room T027, on the College’s Blountville campus next to Tri-Cities Airport.

This three-day course is designed for current and future member of internal auditing teams. Course attendees learn auditing to the requirements of IATF 16949:2016 using process-based auditing techniques. Participants receive an advanced understanding of customer-Oriented processes (COPs) as well as customer-specific requirements as defined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

Interactive workshops, simulated audits, tutorials, and case studies will be used to develop practical audit skills, enhance evaluation and communication skills. Participants refine audit reporting skills and learn how to implement corrective actions programs.

The course uses the ISO9001 and IATF 16949 certifications as the reference standard for quality management system requirements for processes used in automotive-related product manufacturing. Those processes include: design and development; production; installation and service. The course meets all EM Customer Specific requirements for Internal Auditor Training.
