The 2024-25 FAFSA application is open

The 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been soft launched at StudentAid.gov.

Students are welcome to complete the 2024-25 FAFSA now. Students might consider waiting a couple of weeks. During this soft launch, Federal Student Aid will monitor site functionality and make adjustments to improve the user experience.

Here are some key upcoming deadlines for Northeast State students:

April 15, 2024 – Priority FAFSA filing deadline to receive the Tennessee Student Assistance Grant (TSAA)
May 15, 2024 – FAFSA filing deadline to receive TN Promise (click here to view all other requirements)

If you are transferring to another college or university for Fall 2024, be sure to check their website regularly for updates related to any priority FAFSA filing deadlines.

We will let you know when the 2024-25 FAFSA seems to be functioning smoothly so you can have a positive application experience. The new application is much shorter, and in the end will be easier for students and families to complete.
