NE State celebrates top-level advising endorsement

Northeast State Community College has earned the prestigious Level III Postsecondary Aligned Advising (PAA) Endorsement for the 2023-2024 academic year.

“This endorsement recognizes Northeast State’s commitment to meeting the highest advising standards, as outlined in the TBR System’s Relational Advising Program,” said Heidi Leming, vice chancellor for Student Success for the Tennessee Board of Regents.

The PAA Endorsement program fosters partnerships between colleges and college access organizations to improve the advising experience for students at TBR community and technical colleges.

“By earning the Level III Endorsement, Northeast State has shown outstanding alignment with the advising and support services essential for helping students transition smoothly into college,” Leming said.

Leming said key components of the endorsement include participation in regional or local meetings, a clear definition of advising roles, and ongoing professional development.
