Tee it up at the Northeast State Golf Tournament

The Northeast State Golf Tournament on Oct. 9 at Cattails at Meadowview.

Northeast State invites you to tee off at the First Annual Academic Village and Workforce Solutions Golf Tournament on Oct. 9 at Cattails at Meadowview in Kingsport.

The tournament is open to the public, with sponsorship opportunities ranging from $100 to $1,000 for participating individuals and teams. There will be a noon registration and lunch with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Sign up now through GiveButter at this link: https://givebutter.com/L7e7gy.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Kingsport Village and Workforce Solutions scholarships for students at Northeast State.

The tournament features three team sponsorship levels. A platinum sponsorship of $1,000 covers a four-person team and signage at the tournament. Foursome, a company banner, advertising mentions, a hole sponsorship, opportunity to provide branded promotional items.

Tournament prizes include a Segway ATV for a hole-in-one on hole #4 as well as prizes on the other par three holes. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams as well a mens’ and womens’ longest drives and closest to the pin.

A gold sponsorship of $750 covers a foursome, a company sign, a hole sponsorship, and an opportunity to provide branded promotional items. A silver sponsorship of $500 covers a twosome, a hole sponsorship, and branded promotional items.

The single-player entry fee is $125. The entry fee for a team of four is $400. All sponsorships are tax-deductible, minus the player fee and signup fee. Cattails will have beverage carts on the greens during the tournament. Guests are welcome and individuals will be paired with other players.

All tournament participants will receive a swag bag. There will also be door prizes at the luncheon, along with prizes for the following: first, second, and third place teams, closest to the pin (three locations), longest drive, and a prize for a hole-in-one. All tournament entrants can purchase a Mulligan on the day of the tournament.

Golfers who participate win the satisfaction of helping students earn a college degree to improve their lives and our region. The Northeast State Community College Foundation supports academics, community service, educational scholarships, and other programs offered by the college. In partnership with the community, the college sustains the effort toward improving the quality of life for residents of the region.
