Seminar about synthetic drug dangers set March 16

Northeast State will host a one-hour information session about synthetic drugs on Friday, March 16.  The session is scheduled 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Regional Center for Performing Arts (RCPA) at the main campus, 2425 Highway 75, adjacent to Tri-Cities Regional Airport.

Barry Staubus, District Attorney General for Sullivan County, a member of the Sullivan County Drug Suppression Team, and a representative from Frontier Mental Health will present a short presentation dealing with legal concerns, law enforcement concerns, and the treatment issues associated with this epidemic impacting our community.  Specifically, the synthetic drugs K2 and Bath Salts will be discussed.
