Course of the day – Marketing

Why do some products beat others in the marketplace?   What brands do you know purely by their symbol?  Enroll in Marketing, BSMG 2220, (course #80921) this fall to learn how this critical aspect of business affects products and services from applesauce to iPads.

The course is scheduled Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. in Room C2415 of the General Studies Building at the main campus in Blountville.

Marketing studies the basic ideas and concepts from the viewpoint of marketing managers in individual firms.  Students will learn how to relate a product to an overall marketing plan; to determine pricing strategies; to create a distribution plan for various markets; to understand the role of promotion; and to evaluate the marketing effort.
