Northeast State hosts online TN Reconnect session May 21

Northeast State hosts a Tennessee Reconnect information session through Zoom teleconferencing on Thursday, May 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.   Free and open to the public, this virtual Zoom event welcomes anyone interested in learning more about the Tennessee Reconnect grant and Northeast State.

Get an invitation by sending an RSVP by email to tnreconnect@northeaststate.edu. Once the request to attend is received, participants will be sent a meeting ID number from Northeast State to join the Zoom session on May 21. Attendees can ask questions and learn more about the College and Tennessee Reconnect.

Tennessee Reconnect encourages adults to return to college to earn a degree or technical certificate. Tennessee Reconnect is a last-dollar grant created for adults to earn an associate degree or technical certificate, tuition free.

TN Reconnect workshop happening May 21.

Adult students planning to apply for Tennessee Reconnect should follow these steps:

Create a login on the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) portal at this link: https://clipslink.tsac.tn.gov/studentsignon/. Once you have created an account, Select “Apply” and then choose “TN Reconnect Scholarship Application 2019-2020.”

  • Submit an application for admission to Northeast State.
  • File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/.
  • Enroll in a degree or certificate program at Northeast State and take at least 6 credits (two classes) per semester to launch your future.
