Zoo Knoxville is now offering discounted general admission tickets for college students. Student tickets are now $15 with a valid student ID at the zoo’s ticket window.
Zoo Knoxville is home to more than 800 animals and the award-winning Boyd Family Asian Trek, featuring Tiger Forest, Gibbon Trails, Langur Landing and White-Naped Cranes. The zoo features immersive habitats for guests and animals alike, and experiences like the chance to feed a giraffe at the Williams Family Giraffe Encounter. The zoo participates in 76 Species Survival Plans to educate and advocate for threatened species. The zoo seeks to maintain genetically healthy populations in human care as an assurance for the future of their survival.
A general admission ticket is required for ages 4 and up. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Discounted college student tickets must be purchased at the front gate.
Zoo Knoxville is nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is committed to the highest standards in animal care and well-being, ethics, conservation, and education. Knoxville’s largest attraction, the zoo is open every day except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Currently, the zoo is open Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Admission and ticket sales stop one-hour before the zoo closes.
