Entrepreneurial boot camps offered by Sync Space and Northeast State

Are you ready to successfully navigate the new normal of business? Register now for one or more entrepreneurial “boot camps” created to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs striving to manage through the COVID pandemic.

 These boot camps merge the resources of the Sync Space Entrepreneur Center and the Northeast State Community College Foundation to assist individuals and small businesses economically damaged by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 Restaurant Recovery: This four-week virtual course is for employees, owners and operators of restaurants and food service businesses. Participants learn the tools and resources to adjust their business models in response to the global COVID pandemic and your customer’s changing needs and expectations. Participants get insights on how to think strategically and define the values to guide them through this unique season for the food and beverage industry while finding opportunities for employment and career advancement.  Course dates are scheduled Nov. 17 and 19; Dec. 1, 3, 8, 10, and 15. Course hours are from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

 Marketing:  Get a boost in marketing and e-commerce strategy to help your business survive and thrive in a pandemic impacted world. This condensed virtual workshop customized for small businesses and entrepreneurs in need of adjusting their marketing strategy due to the impacts by COVID-19.  Students get insight on customer discovery, strategies for sales and social channels, and creating a brand strategy. Participants get opportunities for discussion and 1-on-1 mentorship specific to their businesses.  Course dates are Nov. 17 and 19; Dec. 1, 3, 8, 10, and 15.  Course time is from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. each day.  This course can be attended in person or virtually.  In person classes will be held at Sync Space, 227 E. Sullivan St, Kingsport.

Makers, Creators and Online Retail: Industry experts explore topics related to sales and marketing, e-commerce, access to training and equipment, finance and IP. This intensive boot camp is tailored for small businesses and entrepreneurs in the maker, retail or product industries who have been impacted by COVID. Specific topics addressing pivot strategy, finance, and sales in the midst of COVID will be highlighted throughout the program. Sessions will be hosted at the Inventor Center in Kingsport on Shelby Street. Course dates are Nov. 17 and 19; Dec. 1, 3, 8, 10, and 15. Course hours are 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The Sync Space Entrepreneur Center is a regional entrepreneur center with accelerator programs uniquely focused on support for local and recruited startups considering Northeast Tennessee as a place to grow or expand their business.

The Northeast State Community College Foundation is a part of the College’s Advancement Office. Established in 1986, the Foundation aims to support academics, community service, educational scholarships and other programs offered by the College.
