Alpha Iota Chi issues call for submissions to “Finding Unity through Humanity”

The Alpha Iota Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society is actively inviting members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to share stories, narratives, poems, and/or visual art which illuminate the lived experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Visual art must be submitted as a digital file.  All submissions – written and visual – can be sent via email to alphaiotachiptk@gmail.com. The submission deadline is November 20.

There is no limit to the number of works that may be entered.  Entries must be original works.  Participants may submit their work anonymously. Contributors, including those contributing anonymously, must agree that any submitted work may be shared by on the podcast Finding Unity in Humanity: Beginning a New Legacy of Social Justice or other college publications, in print, online, or during a podcast.

The chapter will interview artists during a series of three podcasts beginning on December 4 to create occasions for dialogue, inclusion, and understanding.
