In case you missed it, Northeast State’s Alpha Iota Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society launched a podcast in December. The award-winning chapter of the nation’s premier honor society for community colleges sought to explore the experience of LGBTQIA+ individuals in the Appalachian region.
Finding Unity in Humanity, the four-part podcast series, welcomed guests to share their stories via poetry, narrative, and visual art. The students of Alpha Iota Chi worked hard to develop this podcast and produce these episodes. The chapter and Northeast State express our deepest gratitude to the guests who shared their stories. The episode links are below and can be accessed with a click.

An Invitation to Action

Alpha Iota Chi has long distinguished itself among the region’s top PTK chapters. At the PTK Catalyst 2020 event, the chapter was named the 1st finalist in the top Most Distinguished Chapter category among all chapters worldwide.
