Northeast State and the Regional Center for Advanced Manufacturing welcomed a new group of students from one of our workforce partners to their first foray on technical training.
Associates from the Massey Electric electrical contracting company completed their first ever structured training at RCAM on June 24. Students completing the lab training are: Dustin Bellamy; Ryan Berry; William Chavez; Ryan Sauer; Michael Sexton; Lon Shuler; Paul Tinoco; and Gilberto Tirado. All eight students completed the written and hands-on lab assessments successfully.
In order to work around the group’s full-day work shift, instructor Randy Taylor met with the Massey students twice a week for four consecutive weeks. The extend class time allowed the students to keep their work hours while completing academic lab work.
The demands of time management for companies and employees alike requires a responsive instructional flexibility.
