Northeast State provides funding to students through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF III)

These funds are being provided to support a student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to the coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, healthcare, or childcare. Frequently asked questions and answers are provided below:

Is this funding opportunity legitimate?
Yes.  You are eligible to apply for funding if you received communication about the funding the week of September 6. (Dual enrollment students are not eligible.)

Who is eligible for this most recent round of HEERF grant funds at Northeast State?
You are eligible to apply for funding if you received communication about the funding the week of September 6. (Dual enrollment students are not eligible.)

How will we know if we were approved or not?
Individuals who are approved for funding will be notified by the College once the funds are dispersed.

Do I have to pay back the funds?
Students do not have to pay back the funds they receive from the HEERF III grant.

Am I eligible for funding even if I am receiving financial aid or other scholarship monies?
Yes. You are eligible to apply for funding if you received communication about the funding the week of September 6.  (Dual enrollment students are not eligible.)

Noon on Wednesday, September 15.
