Northeast State welcomes artist Katharine W. Morrill to discuss art and painting in a virtual lecture event scheduled April 6, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Morrill teaches Drawing and Painting at Fayetteville Technical Community College, Fayetteville, N.C. She was this year’s visual art judge for Echoes and Images student art and literature contest. Morrill’s exhibition of landscape paintings, Flight Risk, will be on display until April 8 in the Wayne G. Basler Library Gallery, on the 1st floor.

Morrill’s work has been exhibited nationally, in such venues as the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, The Nelson Gallery in Virginia. Her work also went on exhibit at The Hive Gallery in Boston, The Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh, N.C., and Southfirst Gallery in New York City.
She received her M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her B.F.A. from the University of New Hampshire.
