The Workforce Solutions at Northeast State team offers a Hazardous Materials Regulations Awareness Training workshop for hazardous material in June.
The workshop is scheduled June 14 to June 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Classes meet in Corporate Training Center, Room T027 of the Technical Education Complex on the Northeast State at Blountville campus.
There is no fee to register for or attend the workshop. The workshop is offered under the regulations set forth by the United States Department of Transportation. Workshop registrants MUST be engaged in an employment position dealing with hazardous materials.
To ensure basic knowledge of HazMat Regulations and be prepared for the workshop, participants are strongly encouraged to complete 8-16 HOURS of online coursework prior to the start of the workshop. Visit https://dothazmat.vividlms.com.
This workshop is offered in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation PHMSA HMIT grant support to the National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (National PETE). Per the grant, government employees ARE eligible to participate in this program.
