Northeast State spring concert series features Tobias & Friends, ETSU bands

The ETSU Country and Bluegrass bands along with Tobias and Friends play Northeast State in March.

The Northeast State spring concert series features two terrific upcoming shows in March.

Entertainment Technology program students welcome the Worship Night with Tobias and Friends concert on March 19 at 7:00 p.m. The East Tennessee State University Country and Bluegrass bands perform on March 28 at 7:00 p.m.

Both performances are being held at the Sound and Lighting Lab of the Technical Education Complex (TEC) at 7:00 p.m., on the Blountville campus. You don’t need tickets! Admission is free and open to the public.

Established in 1982, ETSU student band members often include students from the region as well as students from across the United States and foreign countries as well. The bands perform at festivals across the Southeast. The program’s alumni have won Grammy awards, and honors from the International Bluegrass Music Association, the Academy of Country Music, and the Country Music Association.

These Northeast State concerts are produced during the fall and spring semesters by Entertainment Technology students as a capstone project. All performances are free and open to the public.
