Northeast State Community College’s Office of Workforce Solutions announces open registration for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) course beginning March 4, 2025, at the Regional Center for Health Professions in Kingsport.
Individuals interested in starting a career in the medical field, prospective patient care technicians, current nurses, or those looking to develop skills may benefit from this program. This program will enable a participant to become a crucial member of a medical team with skills necessary to obtain quality laboratory specimens in a variety of medical settings. This course features a 40-hour clinical component with assigned health care facilities.
Participants who complete this course will gain the technical knowledge required to pass the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) examination to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. The NHA exam is administered during the last class session.
Dates: March 4–May 13
Time: Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Location: Regional Center for Health Professions, 300 W. Main Street, Kingsport
