Northeast State Community College’s Office of Workforce Solutions announces open registration for a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) course beginning February 3, 2025, at the Regional Center for Health Professions in Kingsport.
Individuals interested in starting a career in the medical field, or those looking to further develop skills, can benefit from the CCMA course. Medical assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. A CCMA’s duties vary with the location, specialty, and size of the practice. This course enables students to become valued medical team members with skills necessary in a variety of health care settings.
This 21-week course features a 40-hour clinical component with assigned health care facilities. Students who complete the course gain technical knowledge required for success when taking the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification examination. The exam is administered during the last class session.
Dates: February 3 – June 30
Time: Mondays, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
