It is all for one and one for all when Northeast State Department of Theatre stages The Three Musketeers, April 24-27 at the Ballad Health Center for Performing Arts on the Blountville campus.

Adapted for the stage by playwright Catherine Bush, the swashbuckling tale of Alexandre Dumas takes audiences to France, where intrigue and revolution fill the air. Newly arrived in Paris from the countryside, D’Artagnan seeks to join the famous musketeers, an elite force of fighters serving the King of France. He quickly becomes friends with the three most renowned Musketeers, Aramis, Athos, and Porthos. Together they battle the scheming Richelieu, save the Queen of France from humiliation, and clash with their enemies in many heart-pounding duels.

The musketeers deal with double crossings, kidnappings, and carefully guarded secrets. The play production features lavish sword fights and sweeping romance, set in a time when love and honor ruled the world. The Three Musketeers story reminds audiences that with strength, courage, wit, and wisdom, you can always defend your beliefs.
