Northeast State hosts a Tennessee Reconnect information session on May 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the General Studies Building, Room C2308, on College’s the Blountville campus next to Tri-Cities Airport.
Attendees can meet with staff and learn more about Tennessee Reconnect. The program provides last-dollar scholarship funds for adults to earn an associate degree or technical certificate, tuition free.
Adult students planning to apply for Tennessee Reconnect should follow these steps:
- Create a login on the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) portal at this link: https://clipslink.tsac.tn.gov/studentsignon/. Once you have created an account, Select “Apply” and choose “TN Reconnect Scholarship Application 2019-2020.”
- Submit an application for admission to Northeast State.
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at ed.gov.
- Enroll in a degree or certificate program and take at least 6 credits (two classes) per semester.
