Spring Select – Intro to Agriculture Business

As writer Wendell Berry observed, “If you eat, you are involved in agriculture.”  If you remember the 4-H Club and the Future Farmers of America, why not get an insight into agricultural economics?

Introduction to Agriculture Business (AGRI 1010) is offered this Spring semester on Wednesdays from 5:40 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Wade Powers Science and Math Building on the Blountville campus. Intro to Agriculture Business studies agriculture economics including the law of supply and demand, agriculture marketing and natural resources.

Students will study the historical development of agriculture, current national and world issues in agriculture and trends for the future.  The course includes topics on natural resources use and conservation forms of business organization, business records and international trade. The course textbook information can be found here.

Registration for the Spring semester at Northeast State continues now through Jan. 19.  New students can apply for admission and register for classes now at https://www.northeaststate.edu/.

Agribusiness is big business.
