Level 1 American Sign Language course begins April 4

Workforce Solutions of Northeast State is sponsoring an eight-week beginner level class in American Sign Language (ASL) starting in August.

The class is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., April 4 through May 24.  Classes will be conducted via the ZOOM virtual classroom. Cost for the class is $80.00.

The class helps students build their sign vocabulary as well as learn grammatical structure. Expressive and receptive skills in the language will also be developed.  At the completion of the course, participants should be able to communicate with the deaf on a basic level.   The course is open to anyone interested in learning ASL.
