Fall commencement ceremony happening December 11

Northeast State celebrates a new class of graduates at the fall commencement ceremony happening Saturday, December 11 at the Wellmont Regional Center for Performing Arts Theatre on the College’s Blountville campus.

Northeast State recognizes our graduates from the College’s six academic divisions in three sections held during the day. Graduates are recognized from their respective divisions at the following times:

Divisions of Behavioral & Social Sciences and Humanities – 10:00 a.m.

Divisions of Health Professions and Sciences – 1:00 p.m.

Divisions of Mathematics and Technologies – 4:00 p.m.

Each graduate receives 8 tickets for guests wishing to attend the event. Guests attending the ceremony are required to have a ticket to be admitted to the theatre.

The fall graduating class totals 545 students receiving 471 degrees and 180 certificates. Northeast State will award five academic certificates, 175 technical certificates, 163 associate of applied science degrees, nine associate of arts degrees, seven associate of science in teaching degrees, and 292 associate of science degrees. A total of 105 students will graduate cum laude, 39 will receive magna cum laude, and 47 students will graduate summa cum laude.

Graduates participating in the ceremony are required to wear their graduation cap, gown, and other graduation regalia. Students pick up caps and gowns at the Office of Admissions and Records in the Pierce Building on the Blountville campus.
