The Anthony Childress Experience performs at Northeast State Nov. 1

Anthony Childress Experience plays Northeast State Nov. 1.

The Northeast State Live Music Nights concert series wraps up for fall when the Anthony Childress Experience band performs at the Blountville campus on November 1.

The Entertainment Technology programs features this live music series with sensational performances by local and international acts. The performance begins at 7:00 p.m., in the Entertainment Technology Sound and Lighting Lab (Room O58) in the Technical Education Complex building on the Blountville campus. The show is open to the public and anyone interested in live music.

Childress is a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist for the band under the moniker of his name. Hailing from East Tennessee, he brings familiar sounds in an unfamiliar way to connect with artists, performers, and listeners alike. He has performed at Appalachian Trail Days in Damascus, Va., and Border Bash in Bristol.

Childress yields a big, booming voice that delivers soulful and funky melodies that, coupled with the exceptional minds and music of Chris Guffey on drums, James Bowman on keys, Nathaniel Sproles on dobro, Jon Harlow on guitar, and Neal Brantner on bass, leave you wanting more. You can hear Childress on Spotify and other streaming services.

Live from Northeast State concerts are open to all, family friendly, with NO admission charge to attend. The Live Music Nights concert series performances are being produced by Northeast State Entertainment Technology students. For more information, contact tec@northeaststate.edu.
