Submit your art and writing to Echoes and Images 34

"Spinning Crow" by Amanda Anderson

Echoes & Images, Northeast State’s student literary and Visual Art magazine, invites Northeast State students to submit their works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual Art to the annual contest.   Cash prizes for each award category are: 1st place – $100, 2nd place – $75, 3rd place – $50.

The competition is open to students currently enrolled at Northeast State. All entries must be original and previously unpublished, and contributors must agree that the submitted work may be published by Northeast State in Echoes & Images or other college publications, in print or online. The winning entries may be edited for grammar, punctuation, and other errors prior to publication in the magazine.

Students may enter up to three poems, up to three pieces of visual art in any medium, one piece of fiction up to 3,000 words, and one piece of non-fiction up to 3,000 words. Students may enter all four categories.

The deadline for students to submit  their work is December 8. All entries must be submitted digitally this year at the Echoes & Images website.

Visual Art Contributors must agree to include the submitted work in the Spring Exhibition of Echoes & Images 34 to be held in the Wayne G. Basler Library Gallery, Blountville Campus, in April 2024. Visual Art Entries must be submitted to the Humanities Division office, H129, on the Blountville Campus. Please submit a Visual Art Entry Form with your artwork. Students may submit digital photography or other digitally created images to the Visual Art category folder on the Echoes & Images 34 website. Click “Submit an Entry” above to submit a digital file. Files should be in JPEG format with a maximum file size of 10MB. Include the medium with the title.
