Wanted: A few good gamers to take up the controllers and join the Northeast State Esports Bears gaming teams this fall.
Yes, the Bears are back. Northeast State Esports hosts a series of gaming and commentary tryouts beginning August 13 in the Wayne G. Basler Library Esports Arena on the Blountville campus.
Tryouts and times on August 13 and August 23 will be for the games of Overwatch 2 (12:00 p.m.), Valorant (2:00 p.m.), and Rocket League (3:45 p.m.). Tryouts scheduled for August 16 and August 21 will be seeking players for the games of Modern Warfare III (12:00 p.m.), SMASH Ultimate (1:45 p.m.), and League of Legends (3:00 p.m.).

These teams will compete against other esports teams at regional and national colleges and universities. Northeast State competes under the banner of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). Watch the game-day action live on the first floor of Basler Library outside the Esports Arena in L114.
