The Follett Access program is designed to make sure every student has access to the correct materials they need on day 1 of classes each semester. Students will see a “Follett DEI Bookstore Charge” on their MyNortheast student account for any classes they are enrolled in that are participating in the Follett Access program. Not all classes are in the Follett Access program. Please see the list below to know which classes are included. Please note that not all forms of aid cover the cost of the Follett DEI Bookstore Charge. TNPromise and TNReconnect DO NOT cover the Follett DEI Bookstore Charge. To pay for the Follett DEI Bookstore Charge, you can pay either the Business Office or login to your MyNortheast student account and pay via credit card online.
Students may opt out of these charges if they so choose. The opt out period for Spring 2025 began January 21 and end on February 16. Students taking a class in Term 2 will have from March 10 to March 28 to opt out. Students will receive an email to their MyNortheast (@stumail.northeaststate.edu) email address with a link to be able to opt out. Students are encouraged to attend their first class before opting out as opting out may result in not being able to complete the required work necessary to pass the class. If you opt out and need to purchase you can do so, but at a greater cost to you. Once the opt out period is over you are responsible for paying the ”Follett DEI Bookstore Charge” to the Business Office.
The opt out process can be done in a few easy steps listed below.

User friendly. Courses that you are currently enrolled in are already available for you to view.
If you choose to opt out, the option APPEARS to be easily done.
