Follett Access opt-out program begins June 4

Students also have the flexibility to opt out of the Follett Access program if they prefer. For first- and full-term summer courses, the opt-out period runs from today through June 19

Follett Access Bookstore program strives to ensure that every student has access to the required course materials by the first day of class each semester. The Financial Aid charge period for summer classes continues through June 11.

For courses participating in the program, students will see a “Follett Course Materials Charge” reflected on their MyNortheast student account. Not all courses participate in the Follett Access program; you can find a list of participating classes through the link below.

Summer 2026 Follett Class List

Students may opt out of the Follett Access program if they prefer. For the first- and full-term summer sessions, the opt-out period runs from June 4, 2026, through June 19, 2026. Students enrolled in Term 2 courses may opt out between July 13 and July 24. Instructions and a personalized opt-out link will be sent to each student’s MyNortheast (@stumail.northeaststate.edu) email account.

Opting Out of Access Course Materials summer 2026

While the program offers convenience and immediate access to materials, it is important to be aware that not all forms of financial aid cover the Follett Course Materials Charge. Specifically, TN Promise and TN Reconnect do not apply toward this charge. Payments can be made through the Business Office or online via your MyNortheast student account using a credit card.

After the opt-out period has concluded, students enrolled in participating courses will be responsible for paying the Follett Course Materials Charge through the Business Office.
