Counseling Services hosts suicide awareness event March 4

Northeast State Counseling Services hosts an event focusing on suicide awareness and prevention on March 4, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Humanities Building at the Blountville campus.  Community agencies attending the event include the Sullivan County Regional Health Department, YW Cares, the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN), and Frontier Health.

Relax in the calming room with aromatherapy and music to reduce stress. Going to college can be a difficult transition period in which a student may feel lost, lonely, confused, anxious, stressed, or depressed. Counseling Services provides free short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services* to help support the psychological, emotional, and developmental well-being of students.
